PBG Ltd. offers a broad range of geophysical survey methods for engineering and environmental projects related to geological and geotechnical issues for the needs of hydro-, industrial- and dwelling constructions, giving special consideration to mining areas.
 

SITE CHARACTERIZATION FOR FOUNDATION DESIGN & CIVIL ENGINEERING  

The surveys facilitate to recognize the structure of the subsurface to the depth of foundation planned for the construction works and define zones of the discontinuity of the geological structures, fracture zones or karst sinkholes. We offer:

  • mapping sub-surface structures
  • examining hydro-geological conditions 
  • investigating geo-hazards
  • detecting rock voids and sinkholes

LEVEES AND DAMS INSPECTION

We offer non-invasive geophysical surveys carried out from the surface. The effect of geophysical levees inspection
the 
measurements are sections depicting the structure of the soil, the kind of material used for building of embankments and susceptibility to washing out.  We offer:

  • investigation of the geology of embankments
  • investigation of stability of slopes of water reservoirs
  • assessment of the state of condensation of grounds (levees, embankments)
  • control of the tightness of impermeable screens
  • detection of cracks and loose zones in the body of hydro-technical constructions


LANDSLIDES AND SLOPES INVESTIGATION

  • recognition of zones potentially threatened by mass wasting
  • determining boundaries of instability


DETECTION OF CONTAMINANTS

  • location of underground storage yards of industrial waste
  • identification of the extent and migration of oil-derived contamination
